GSM MODEM TOOL KIT

To send and receive less than 5000 SMS messages a day, it is convenient to use a GSM device (phone or modem) attached to a computer through a data cable. A SIM card is required to establish an active wireless connection.

Our GSM application creates a bridge between the computer and the GSM network. A SMS sent using the application is sent to the Recipient of the GSM service provider.

When a message is received, the GSM device stores the message in its memory or on the SIM card, and sends a notification to SMS Application. When the program receives this notification, it retrieves (reads) the message from the respective memory cell, and then deletes the message from the device to make room for the next incoming message.

The advantage of using a cellular modem is that an Internet connection is not required for SMS messaging. Sending or receiving SMS messages using a GSM modem or phone takes about 3-4 seconds. It is worthy to note, however, that the messages sent will be charged as per the GSM service provider's rates.
